This weekend, the wee nieces learned a lot about baking!
They learned you can make pancakes without mix.
They learned that yeast smells like a bakery or like beer.
They learned that bread "grows" - truly!
They got their little hands right into the middles of things and kneaded dough.
They learned to go gently with the cookie dough, because if we squash peanut butter cookie dough too much with the fork, the cookies some out VERY flat!
They learned how many, many times we have to wash hands and our utensils. And that patience is a virtue when dealing with yeast!
Since we paced ourselves over the whole weekend, we enjoyed every moment of our baking adventures.
Now... we are just waiting for our yummy bread to finish baking!
