Its been five days of drizzle and rain. The ground is saturated, and lawns have tossed off their summer sunburn for lush green. Mushrooms are everywhere (and some of the locals are edible!). There is a distinctly "fall" chill in the air! Last night we actually argued about whether to light a fire (I wish I had prevailed, as there is nothing so nice as a wood fire on a damp and miserable summers eve).
These are days for soups and mugs of tea and a stack of great books. For introspection. And for clearing the water from the basement :)
