Cranberries

Cranberries are a marvelous fruit! Little nutritional powerhouses packed with antioxidants, vitamin C and so much more! What a shame that the average American only consumes them once a year, in a processed, gelatinous muck we call commercial cranberry sauce!

I try to incorporate these little gems of goodness into our regular diet. Today I am baking an spicy applesauce-cranberry loaf - on another day I might make a fresh cranberry sauce with raw berries and a few roughly chopped oranges (no sugar needed!).

Mmm, mmm, good!
