When the rains come...

Today we have brilliant sunshine - but overall we have had a truly rainy spring, with mere pockets of sunshine to allow some gardening and sungathering.

But I must say, the greenswards are amazingly lush...and the local wood is green and damp and truly alive with mushrooms and tiny wildflowers and small animals scurrying and birdsong...and our container garden is growing leaps and bounds - we already have small lettuces to harvest!

So I try to embrace the lifegiving rains. Even when grey skies dampen my mood...
