Garden problems
We had serious issues with critters and heat this year. EVERY tomato was half-eaten!! Most of my onions were chomped (or disappeared) as well. And the lettuces all bolted (pretty flowers, but beyond bitter lettuce).
So when I saw a little hole starting next to this onion, I decided to just harvest it. We will use the greens in a stir-fry, and roast the wee onion itself along with some chicken and other veggies.
And I pulled up all the bolted greens, raked some worm castings into the pots, and set new seeds for crisp fall lettuces.
That is the best part of gardening: that it can be renewed!
