When a little girl is five years old...

she is just tall enough to reach into the kitchen sink and rinse the dishes... and just young enough that this is an adventure!

(Note: I am an equal opportunity chore-assigner. My son was washing dishes at that age as well - I feel all children benefit from learning basic cookery and basic household chores)
