What to do with September Strawberries in the Garden?

1 - Tiptoe out to the deck at dawn and gather a handful for breakfast - remember to inhale their bright, vibrant aroma before tasting!

2 - Mmmm....sliced strawberries stirred into fresh, homemade yoghurt!

3 - Toss with spinach, walnuts or almond slivers, perhaps a bit of goat cheese, and a light balsamic vinaigrette.

4 - Drop one into a chilled glass of Prosecco...

I planted a single strawberry plant in a large pot with a single mint on a whim two years ago...the mint and the berry plants have outgrown the pot and "baby" plants have been transplanted elsewhere - and I am still getting berries on the original plants :)
