I live in NJ, where Memorial Day Weekend is the kickoff to "summer down the shore" season...a summer defined as lasting from Memorial Day Weekend until Labor Day Weekend. And it can be hard to recall that the true season have their own, non-commercial cycle. And this cycle won't turn Spring to Summer for another month...
A little reminder that this is yet Spring was the lovely event we witnessed yesterday: 3 wee robins hatching, after weeks of watching mama robin flit back and forth between feeding and warming eggs...a wonderful nature lesson for the wee nieces, and a wonderful reminder of nature's cycles for we grownups.
