Garden Update, July 8 '10

Little green tomatoes! Altho most of my plants are still quite small and focusing on growing bigger before setting fruit :)

The lettuce seeds I planted around the tomatoes are sprouting. Once they have grown in, the not only provide salads but also shade the roots of the tomatoes.

I have to move the watermelon and pumpkin and zucchini to a new patch - they are in danger of being mowed by our landlords idiot "lawn care specialists".

I have veritable forests of mint and basil, which smell divine and taste like heaven. The other herbs are also coming along nicely. I plan to harvest some dill over the weekend and try a batch of brine-cured pickles!
