It feels like Monday...

Well, the World Cup Finals are done. It was an exciting, nail-biting match that brought Spain its very first victory. It was thrilling to be so involved in this event (even if from a huge distanced) - when one must follow each team so closely the Cup takes on new meaning. And it was also a lot of fun to be able to pick and choose from thousands of incredible photos at Newscom and Landov and the AP!

But after almost 30 hours straight of selecting and downloading images and fact-checking text/captions/ stats and writing, I must admit it became hard work to sustain the excitement! And I was very glad indeed to get into a car with a cup of tea, and then finally tuck into my own little bed at dinnertime Monday.

And so that is why today feels like Monday to me - because Sunday and Monday merged into one loooong "football day". But as tiring as it was, I still have to admit that I loved it! And now I will just admire the beautiful flowers around town as my brain slowly recharges.
