A Pop of Purple

I like to take walks during the day - even when I am in the city, trapped to the office. One of my favorite NYC walks is along the waterfront...there are garden plantings to soothe the computer-jangled eyes, long vistas over the ocean as one gazes towards the Statue of Liberty, the Navy Memorial, a colonial-era fort, and more. The park is generally filled with locals and tourists year-round...

On my latest walk, I noticed these fun purple aliums popping their heads above the lush green plantings - a fairy fireworks display. In the cloudy light, they almost glow!
